Beautiful woman smiling

Success Stories

After my beloved dentist of 25 years retired, I went in search for a new dentist. My search proved to be exhaustive, expensive , concerning, and disappointing. UNTIL………. I noticed my neighbor’s amazing new smile and inquired. He
and his wife were very pleased with the work of Dr. Tyler Wynne in Clemmons. His wife knew I was very disappointed with my last 6 month cleaning at the dental office I had been going to, and she had very positive things to say about Teresa, the hygienist at Dr. Wynne’s office. I made my appointment and was hopeful.

Dawn did as she promised and called me when there was a cancellation. I was very pleased and felt confident on my very first visit. The entire staff is very friendly, professional and competent. My first appointment with Teresa, the Hygienist, did not disappoint, as she was very thorough. Dr. Wynne is very engaging, talented, and professional. I had to have a crown, so it was not long before Megan was assisting Dr. Wynne with that….and I found both of them to be very friendly, professional, and competent. I have found my new Dental office…..finally!!!

I had an accident over a holiday weekend and called in a panic, leaving a message, as they were closed. Dr. Wynne called me back within 20 minutes and met me in the office within hours. I am so grateful for his dedication, as well as the magnificent work he did to restore my front tooth before the holiday.

I recommend this group…..highly. I have several friends and neighbors that are patients there, and we are all pleased.

Welcome To
Carolinas BioHealth Dentistry is holistic, biocompatible, and aesthetic dentistry for the whole of you!

Carolinas Biohealth Dentistry Team

At Carolinas BioHealth Dentistry, we are proud and fortunate to call Clemmons and the Carolinas home.  A native of Cary, our dentist, Dr. Tyler Wynne, graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry. And, not unlike greater Winston-Salem, our entire team’s approach to caring for individuals and families is advanced and innovative.

Yet, as much as we rely on continuing education and sophisticated technologies, Dr. Wynne never loses sight of the importance of a personal, caring touch. Moreover, the investments in training on the latest dental techniques and cutting-edge tools and systems are all with patients’ comfort, safety, and overall experience with dentistry at heart. These investments and amenities are built on a strong foundation in holistic and biocompatible dentistry. Additionally, Dr. Wynne has developed considerable expertise in aesthetic dentistry. As a patient, you can rest assured that your new or restored teeth look and feel like the “real thing” and that any services provided at our office will enhance your smile, oral health, and overall health.

Holistic and biocompatible dentistry

Also known as “biological” dentistry, holistic practitioners view all dental materials, products, services, and equipment through the lens of the health and well-being of the “whole system,” or a patient’s entire body. We appreciate and address how the health of the body can affect the health of the oral cavity (mouth) and how oral health can influence systemic health – or the function of the rest of the body. So, the mouth and the “rest of you” are inextricably linked.

Biocompatible dentistry is related to holistic dentistry in that biocompatible materials and products are tissue (“bio”) friendly (“compatible”).

All the procedures we offer at Carolinas BioHealth Dentistry use non-toxic materials and the safest, precision technology.

Some examples of holistic and biocompatible dentistry “in action” at our practice include:

  • Use of dental ozone, a natural healer, when performing many standard dental procedures.
  • Status as a “mercury-free” office means you will not find silver-colored amalgam fillings containing the toxin mercury here!
  • Status as a “mercury-safe” office, which means Dr. Wynne is certified by the International Academy of Oral Medicine & Toxicology (IAOMT) in the safe removal of amalgam fillings to minimize the risk of mercury exposure to patients, staff, and the planet.

Aesthetic dentistry

Dr. Wynne’s passion for and skill in cosmetic dentistry is well-documented; he is among the youngest dentists to ever receive accreditation from The American Society for Dental Aesthetics. Additionally, he is a fellow of the International Academy for Dental-Facial Aesthetics and The Academy of General Dentistry. A scholar of the prestigious The Dawson Academy, Dr. Wynne is a thought leader in aesthetic dental techniques and innovations. He regularly shares his knowledge with peers internationally as a contributor to professional journals such as Dentistry Today, Inside Dentistry, Oral Health, and Dental Tribune International.  He is the youngest dentist to be featured on the cover of Dentistry Today.  As an editorial board member of REALITY, Dr. Wynne keeps dentists from around the world up-to-date with advances in new products, techniques, and materials in aesthetic dentistry.  Patients have peace of mind that, regardless of their needs — be it removing stains or correcting chips and gaps or complete smile makeovers– all cosmetic and restorative procedures at Carolinas BioHealth Dentistry are in exceptional hands.

Biocompatible Dentistry

What is Biocompatible Dentistry? Environmentally friendly habits are important for everyone – from consumers to businesses. We understand how gentle, patient-friendly, and green dental care benefits all, but if you’ve never heard about these kinds of dental practices, you may wonder what the hype is all about.

Dental care should help you enjoy a smile that functions well and feels great. Dental restorations that irritate tissue or cause sensitivity work against our goals as dentists. We want our patients to enjoy the full benefits of effective treatment, which is where biocompatible dentistry plays an important part.

Not only do natural-looking dental treatments feel better in your smile, but they also look more like your own teeth. Metal-based restorations may look realistic when first applied, but they tend to age poorly, revealing a black line at the edge of the gums. This is especially true for crowns and can be particularly problematic when these restorations are used in the visible parts of your smile.
